Why is this artist indie?
It wasn't their non-politically correct name that garnered this band a lot of buzz - but their breakout performance at the Athens Popfest and their MySpace released EP 'The Wizard of Ahhhs'. They were quickly signed up with Almost Gold with an album produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. They may not be 'indie' for long, but their style of music reverberates a unique mesh of 80's and 70's pop / rock influences wrapped up in jangly guitars, synths and the The Cure-like vocal stylings of Reggie Youngblood. Sounds Indie, methinks.
