Why is this artist indie?
Signed with Transgressive Records in the UK - the band started out playing at house parties and further moved on to playing at staged house parties on TV (well it was only one, and yes, it was THAT Skins webisode). Their unique sound of syncopated rhythms and disjointed guitar licks, accompanied by Yannis' dance moves (which almost rivals Michael Stipes' dance in losing my religion or that weird jab your hands up in the air dance move Roland Orzabal did in Mad World) give them that indie flavor that we all love.
