plus, Your Lyric of the Day Recap

And why not? This might be the best idea yet :) I kind of missed the recap - especially since I've been showcasing really nice songs as of late. I'm not posting the songs here though, too much effort - so it'd be best to visit the site everyday if you want a link for a download (if you don't know it yet, yer lyric of the day songs up top on the right side there can be downloaded by a simple right-click and Save As). If you missed hearing the song though, our dear old Facebook page is one to go to if you want to sample the songs where these lyrics came from. Dee-lightful lyrics right after the jump.

Red Yellow Green and Blue

This is my attempt at making some sort of art in our weekly album cover feature. I wanted it to look like a rainbow, but didn't have enough rows for it...so a multicolor stripe was the end result. Three primaries and green. It ain't that bad. The music from these albums are better though. There's more to check out if you go clickety-click on them too.

Le Animaux

To ease in to the new week, we start with our new-ish weekly post  - We (heart) album art.

And to further reiterate that yes, this is a database - we've got 16 albums featured that have one common theme. For this week, it's one of mankind's top favorite things to exploit: animals. We here at The Indie Music Database, love animals (especially ones of the corgi kind) and it's no surprise that our favorite indie artists love them as well. So don't be shy to click away, album animals need love as much as the real kind too.

Your Album Has a Mug On It

Ack! Another new weekly thing! I don't know why I torture myself in putting up weekly recurring posts even though I rarely post them up on time. But this one you'll love (I hope!). Though it may not seem so, we are actually an Indie Music Database (hence the db search section at the top). As I work towards getting our database beefed up, I encourage you to browse through the many artists on the site by this weekly album post. If you guys are anything like me, album covers always pique my interest whether or not I know the music of that particular artist - so what better way to get to know some of your indie artists than through their own album art.

This week's theme is a single face in every album - may it be the artist's own, or some random person's. So go on, clickety-click, if you want to find out more about these interesting mugshots.
